Epson Smart Canvas watch (Moomin character) - Picture of different hours

Product details: https://www.epson.jp/products/smartcanvas/moomin/

For those who are interested to the watch face / pictures available in Epson Smart Canvas (Moomin Characters), here are those that I manage to capture.

In addition to the pictures below, I notice that even within the same hour, the picture does change a little. Eg. When the minutes hand is near minute 45, there's a mouse near the clock, the mouse move little by little every minute after that (until it is gone).

Picture showing 5.xx PM - 1.xx AM

Picture showing 2.xx AM - 10.xx AM

Picture showing 11.xx AM - 4.xx PM.
Valentines, Christmas, New Year

Picture showing Mon - Sun.
Seconds display. Desktop mode.

Same hour (12.xx PM) but different minutes.
A mouse appearing at the clock.

Lego Winter Holiday Train 10254

I bought this Lego set for Christmas, to put it under the Christmas tree and let it go round and round. As its reputation stands, the build quality is good, there're much attention to details with the little pieces putting together, nicely decorated. This train set has 734 pieces, you can get the power function to get it moving. The power function is build up from 8879 (IR speed remote control) + 8884 (IR receiver) + 88000 (AAA battery box) + 88002 (Train motor).

I just need it running on a constant speed on the track, hence, didn't buy the Remote control and IR receiver. With the batteries and train motor only, it will run too fast and derail (The batteries box requires 6 AAA batteries, which give you 9V in total). I replace 4 of the batteries with dummy batteries (DIY), which makes it only running on 2 real batteries, giving a total of 3V. It runs slows enough to watch it comfortably going round and round under the tree.

I DIY the dummy battery by using magnetic balls, lining them up to the length of the battery, then wrap them up with paper. The photos below shows the magnetic balls I used to build the dummy battery.

Car ownership / name transfer (Pertukaran hak milik / nama kereta) at Malaysia

Just to share my experience of going through the car ownership transfer process (private car).

For my scenario, the car insurance has expired, road tax expire today (the day of doing the transfer), no bank loan involved, both current and new owner visit JPJ (Wangsa Maju) together.

  1. You'll need to send the car to PUSPAKOM for inspection, they'll issue B5 form after inspection completed.
My experience with PUSPAKOM Wangsa Maju (next to JPJ) (+60351017000) from start to end involves:
    - Making appointment (through phone) for a date and time to send the car in for inspection (this takes a few minutes)
    - Sending the car to PUSPAKOM (my appointment, Saturday 8am) for inspection. From registration, payment, complete inspection, and issue B5, all completed in an hour.

  2. Visit JPJ with existing owner and new owner with the following documents ready:
    - B5 (Issued by PUSPAKOM)
    - TM-1 (this is a checklist form)
    - JPJK3 (this is filled up with vehicle, existing owner, and new owner details)
    - JPJK2 (this is the car registration card, a.k.a. 车卡)
    - Photocopy of IC (both existing and new owner)

  3. We've got our ticket number, 1247 (current number is 1206, there're 41 person before us), that's at 10.55am. After close to 40 minutes of waiting, at around 11.33pm, finally it is our turn. We proceed to counter 5, after several checking, there goes the bad news - e-Batal (cancellation of ownership from finance institute) is not done yet. We're like, what? cannot proceed due to the financing bank haven't done the e-Batal. We have no choice but to contact the bank and get the e-Batal completed first.

*The officer has verified all the documents, so she ask us to come back to that counter directly when the e-Batal is completed, no need to take another number to queue up.

Existing owner make a call to the bank and ask for the e-Batal to be completed as soon as possible, but she was then told that there're some miscellaneous charges haven't been paid (less than RM100), that's why the e-Batal hasn't been done. So, there goes the questions, can/should the bank release the car registration card when payment is not fully paid yet? Few days ago when collect the card, existing owner has asked and double confirm with the bank officer there's nothing needs to be done, but now they said some payment haven't been made, that's really a "great service". Ignore that, we just wanted to get things done, so we proceed to the nearest bank and make the payment, then make a call back to the bank and ask them to proceed with the e-Batal as soon as possible.

  4. We return to JPJ and that's about 12.28pm, another bad news, the officer at counter 5 went out for lunch. We ask the other officer next to her and she said we have to wait for her to return from lunch due to our documents are verified by her. Again, we got no choice but to go for lunch and come back later.

  5. At 2+pm, we return to JPJ again, went straight to the counter and get the ownership transfer done. It was quick and no hassle. Next, car insurance and road tax.

  6. Insurance - This is where it got a little confusing, when I check over the phone (a day before), the person handling the call said I can buy the insurance after the ownership transfer is completed. But when I'm at the information counter at JPJ (Wangsa Maju), the officer said if road tax still valid, then need insurance. But when I'm at the counter doing the name/ownership transfer, the officer don't even ask for that (still hidden in my envelop). After the transfer is completed, then the officer ask whether I want to renew the road tax or not and I say yes, then she ask me about the insurance (and I show it to her). Then proceed to get the road tax renewed.

*For my case, before the first attempt to do the ownership transfer, to avoid any unexpected issue, as a "soon-to-be new owner" I've purchase the new insurance at JPJ on the spot in the morning (between 10.55am - 11.33am, while waiting for our number to be called).

*There're a few counter/booth at JPJ ground floor for insurance purchase.

If it wasn't for the bank issue, our process will be very smooth, arrived at 10+am, parked, got our number at 10.55am, waited for about 40 minutes, proceed to counter and ownership transfer done, all in about an hour.

But because of the bank issue, we have to run here and there, took us hours to get it done.

Lesson of the story
Make sure to check with bank and verify that there's no pending payment (or any mysterious misc charges). Get all payment done/settled first, then confirm with them the e-Batal is completed prior to visit JPJ.

Some questions over the process:
Q. I'm the new owner, but the ownership transfer is not completed yet, can I buy the insurance for the vehicle yet?
A. Yes, for my case, our ownership transfer is not done yet, but I've already purchase the insurance (on the same day at JPJ ground floor) prior to proceed with the ownership transfer.

Q. Without insurance, can I still proceed with ownership transfer?
A. Yes (the public can correct me if I'm wrong), based on the experience from the phone call and dealing with the officer over the counter, it seems insurance is not needed. But you'll need that if you want to renew road tax.
